$20 per hour + bonus. Average earnings = $40,000 – $60,000 per year.

We are seeking fearless and friendly people to come help build our new canvassing team. In this role, you will be the face of our company, going door-to-door in neighborhoods to engage homeowners and gain permission for our sales team to inspect their roofs. You will not need to climb or inspect roofs yourself; your primary goal is to connect homeowners with our roofing experts. Transportation from headquarters to work sites is provided.
Job Duties
- Knock on doors and introduce Van Martin Roofing services to homeowners.
- Explain the benefits of a professional roof inspection.
- Secure appointments for our sales team to inspect roofs the same day.
- Track and report your progress daily.
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident demeanor.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and in various weather conditions.
- Evidence of coachability and courage
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in canvassing, sales, or customer service is a plus but not required. Paid training is provided to all new Canvassers.
Reports to
Direct Marketing Manager
The main objective of the Service Foreman is to facilitate the completion of assigned projects and lead the accompanying service tech by example.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with vendors, customers, and coworkers.
- Identify and correct deficiencies to industry standards.
- Lead and train crew in a small team environment
- Complete truck and equipment inventory
- Diagnose leaks on HVAC, skylights, masonry, siding, and other potential leak sources.
Skills and Qualification Preferences

- Motivation to learn, advance, and take on more responsibilities as we continue to grow.
- 3+ years of full-time commercial roofing experience is preferred.
- Experience on Shingle, EPDM, TPO, PVC, Metal, Modified, BUR roof systems.
- Detail Oriented and Problem-Solving Skills
- Ability to properly setup and climb ladders as well as navigate sloped surfaces
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds up ladder
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions when required including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to use basic roofing hand tools
- Ability to use various handheld power tools
- Ability to follow all safety procedures and direct others to do the same
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to use smartphones and tablets and learn new apps.
Educational/Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Three (3) years roofing, construction or related experience preferred
The main objective of the Commercial Service Tech is to facilitate the completion of assigned projects by assisting the Service Foreman with job related duties. The list of job duties for a Service Tech on any given day may include, but is not limited to, the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain positive customer relations through frequent communication-both onsite and over the phone
- Responsible for maintaining dry in status during job activity
- Follow job specific and safety instructions from Service Foreman
- Follow all installation guidelines for various products according to manufacturer specifications
- Maintain a clean work area at all times
- Maintain all safety measures while maximizing efficiency
Skills and Qualification Preferences
- Have a general understanding of roofing materials and roofing systems
- 1+ years of full-time commercial roofing experience is preferred.
