Community Outreach

Community Involvement

Van Martin was founded on the principles of giving back to the communities that we serve. We believe in providing more than just roofing solutions, but solutions that better the lives of those around us. Over the years and in various ways, we have given back to those in need. Currently, the two main community outreach programs that Van Martin is involved in are the Emerge Trade and Recovery Initiative and our “On The House” roof giveaway program. The On The House program gives the chance for a complete roof replacement at absolutely ZERO cost! You can learn more about both of these programs below as well as how to nominate yourself or someone you know for the, “On The House” roof giveaway.

Roof Giveaway

Everyone deserves to have security within their home, and peace of mind begins at the top. Van Martin is the premier roofing company for greater Dayton as well as the southwestern Ohio area. We’re now taking it upon ourselves to give back to members of our local community that financially can’t afford to give their home the roof that it deserves.

Our selection committee will meet 4 times a year to determine a worthy homeowner to receive a free roof. You may nominate yourself or another person that you feel may be deprived of the chance to have security from the weather elements within their home due to roofing issues. Van Martin’s founder Doug Van Dyke is adamant about the importance of second chances. That’s why he has partnered with other local business owners to start the Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative. Emerge gives those who are recovering from substance abuse a fighting chance.  There’s an opportunity to learn a trade and begin to support themselves with jobs in industries such as HVAC, plumbing, customer service, digital marketing, construction, roofing, and more. Aside from job training, Emerge also offers Transformational Housing for men and women. Above all, this gives a positive space to recover and learn essential life skills and healthy coping mechanisms. You can learn more by clicking one of the buttons below!
